Lawn Alternatives

A Smarter Way to Green

Traditional lawns are often “resource sinks.” By replacing them with xeriscapes, native plants or lawn alternatives like micro clover,  you significantly reduce the ecological footprint of your property.

Native plants and xeriscaping require a fraction of the water that turf grass needs to stay green.  In addition, most lawns depend on synthetic fertilizers and pesticides.

Organic alternatives or native landscapes create a healthy ecosystem that naturally resists pests and disease.  Turf grass is a “green desert” for pollinators.  Replacing it with local flora provides essential food and habitat for local wildlife.

If you aren’t ready to go 100% grass-free, consider an organic lawn care program (we can help you with that). This helps establish a lawn that is naturally more resilient, requiring less water and fewer interventions to stay lush.
